Okay. I may ruffle a few feathers. Well, let me be less PC since this is my personal blog!! I might get some people fuc*ed up buuut, Stella is not wine. It is a wine-like beverage. Sorry! Not sorry! But hey, it's all a matter of personal preference. The only thing I ask is that if I am invited into your home and you offer me a glass of wine, do not pour Stella Rosa in my glass. Mmmkay!
And although I'm still in the toddler stages of my wine journey, I feel I've graduated a level or two, so to speak. What's your favorite type of wine? That's a question that I am asked pretty often. I love a good Chardonnay. And believe it or not, the reason I still age myself as a Toddler and not a Teenager, is I like to find good wine for about $15 bucks a bottle. I have had some pretty exclusive tastes and spent a nice buck on occasion. But being a daily drinker (no judgement please), I must say that it is much better on my budget to find quality at a good price. My fav Chard would have to be Kendall Jackson Reserve. It's a rich, somewhat bold and buttery flavor that hits right every time!
With dinner or my night sips, I like Cabernet. I do not have a favorite Cab but I love exploring any with hints of berries and even some with vanilla or warm spices. Just enough but not too overpowering. Yum! Another red that I like are blends. Now, this is where my expert connosieur's may totally disagree with my lil' Toddler taste buds. But as long as the blend isn't too sweet, it is absolutely one of my go-to's.
When I pair for my boards, I think about all of the colors and flavors I incorporated on the board. But normally, I base it on the primary cheese. Want a taste? Check out my Charcuterie Board page on the drop down menu and contact me to place an order. I'd love to tease those buds with the perfect combination!
